Getting Ready Behind the Scenes

Many newly weds like for their photographer to capture the process of them getting ready. This means you will need a partner to help photograph or be quick on your feet to not miss any moments, as the bride and groom will be getting ready seperately from different rooms.

Walk Down the Aisle

This one may be too basic, but there’s a twist to it! It is also very popular to photograph the bride and groom running down a human aisle during final farewells. You will have all the groomsmen lined up on one side and all the bridesmaids on the other, while they hold up their arms or flowers facing each other the bride and groom will run under their arms and kiss in the middle of the scene. This will be a fun and cherised memory that you can capture for them.

Make sure to also photograph the guests

Especially the brides and grooms family members! Althought the main characters of the event are the bride and groom, they will appreciate if you photograph their family and close friends reactions. For instance, a parent’s expression as the bride and groom say their vows will make a priceless photograph.

Take note of the location and lighting

Depending on whether the wedding is held indoors or outdoors, the type of shutter spead, lens, etc you use may slightly differ. As natural light and artificial light affect your camera and photographs differently. It is important tof ind out ahead of time so that you can be adequetly prepared for different scenarios.

Don’t be afraid to munch on the snacks and food!

If it is your first photography gig you may be too excited and forget to eat,but keep in mind that weddings are usually a couple hours and that you will find yourself exhuasted by the end of the day if you forget to eat. If you are working with a partner, you can take turns to take a break and eat.

Remember, that it’s a wedding! Show happiness for the newly wed couple and help them capture core memories!
